Telekom multimedia launches Netmyne Web Application Service in collaboration with Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard

Kuala Lumpur , March 15 2001 - Telekom Multimedia creates another first by launching its Web Application Services with its inaugural web application service, netmyne Exchange 2000 (Netmyne E2K).

Launched in November 1999, Netmyne, currently operates four data centres with a total space of 11,000 square feet of hosting facilities, catering to 300 servers at any one time.

Netmyne is currently servicing more than 3,000 customers for hosting services which includes web, server, commerce, media and community hosting complete with payment gateway and merchants e-commerce engine. With this latest web application service, customers will now have accessibility to enterprise messaging and web collaboration service as well. this major investment by Telekom Multimedia shows the positive outlook they have for the development and continued growth of ASPs.

With this launch, Netmyne now moves into another phase of its offering as a Web Application Services Provider ( WASP ). netmyne's inaugural Web Application Services is an application that provides Messaging and Web Collaboration Services, crucial applications in today's fast-paced business world. Some of its features include e-mail, netmeeting, calendaring, personal workspace, group workspace, directory services, contacts and instant messaging. All these features are equipped with more advanced and efficient capabilities that result in better communication and collaboration on-line.

Speaking at the launch, Dato' Dr Khir Abd Rahman, Chief Executive of Telekom Malaysia said: "It is necessary to embark on ASP as more and more of our daily business routines are already going on-line. We cannot be left behind in this ASP revolution. For businesses, the ASP type of service will become an integral part
of business operations for efficiency and effectiveness."
