TM Multimedia was formed in November 1995 as a division of Telekom Malaysia to harness the power of the Internet using the parent company's vast telecommunications resources. TM Multimedia develops new IP-based businesses with particular emphasis on network-enabled multimedia applications. It was awarded an ISP license in mid 1996 and launched Telekom Malaysia Berhad, currently the country's premier Internet Service Provider in November that same year. TM Multimedia has migrated to Telekom Malaysia Berhad, a wholly owned subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia Berhad, on 1 July 2002.

Telekom Malaysia Berhad's major focus is currently on value-added internet services, web & domain hosting services, electronic commerce services, server & data center network hosting services and portal services. It is also involved in developing applications for company's messaging, collaboration, e-business services and enterprise resource planning.

Therefore it is our mission and aspiration to become the country's leading full Internet service provider. We do not merely aim to specialize in providing high quality access services to the nation but also offer a vast range of extra services related to the Internet. This would include appointing business partners throughout the country to provide various services such as content and applications development, service distribution and technical support.
